FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
JODIES JOURNEY FOUNDER – HER PATH & LIFE STORY
BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA - Jodie Guerrero (founder of jodiesjourney.com & consumerconsultation.com) is currently dealing with her 3rd health difficulty, relating to Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, but is not letting it hold her down. ‘I have been on a round-about of treatment, hospital/s & doctors for many years now. I believe that the reason my health has been a battle has been due to a delayed diagnosis’, Jodie says. ‘We need to get this message out there, that young cancer patients are more often initially not getting the urgent care they should, due to various circumstances (including: their appearance, their youth, or their beauty)’ Jodie says. ‘GP’s & primary care physicians often assume that if a young patient looks well, they are well’ - ‘this is not always the case’.
Jodie received a delayed diagnosis of extensive Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, due to medical negligence - which was proven by her state medical board. Many young cancer patients are dealt a delayed diagnosis & the stats (example one & two) to support this, are shocking. Jodie has been fighting Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma for 5 years, with current problems effecting her right leg. She is determined to face every challenge of her life with strength, courage & boldness. She uses her journey, as a consumer advocate, to speak to media, politicians, government, policy makers, medical staff & many, many survivors of similar circumstances. Jodie has taken her experiences & circumstances to the next level & is determined to reach as many people as possible with her message.
Jodie is currently visiting & consulting with various doctors & medical teams in Brisbane, Australia. Regardless, she is currently available for print, radio or television to highlight the following important issues: Greater awareness: signs & symptoms of Lymphoma, Safer & faster diagnosis of blood diseases, More support & research into the needs of younger health consumers, More assistance for families & women with illness/disability. Jodie’s story has a popular following on social media & her website receives thousands of hits per month. Why should your media outlet cover Jodies Journey?
Jodie's story has the following educational elements:
- Health Services Quality, GP & Primary Care Physician Education.
- Consumer Advocacy – Patients fighting for the best outcome.
Jodie's story has the following emotional elements:
